Adult Treatment
Services For Adult Orthodontics
It is never too late to wear braces or begin other orthodontic treatments to improve your smile. Having straight, perfect teeth can serve as a confidence booster due to its aesthetic appearance; however, orthodontic treatments can be more than just enhancing the look of your teeth. A properly aligned jaw and teeth can prevent cavities, other dental issues, and symptoms of TMJ disorder. As a result, many adults are receiving treatment in order to enjoy the benefits of having a healthy smile. At Superior Care Orthodontics, we want to give you the smile that you can be proud of and have the confidence to show them off!
Orthodontic treatment for adults are equally as effective as for children, but may take longer for adults due to complete growth and development of the jaw and teeth. With our state of the art technology, we offer a variety of treatment options such as traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, self-ligating braces, and Invisalign that best suit your orthodontic needs.
What To Expect From Your Adult Treatment
Your initial consultation with Dr. Herman is complimentary, so we ask that you take this time to ask any questions about your treatment. During your appointment, Dr. Herman will:
- Check for any spacing or overcrowding that may impact your teeth
- See if there are any bite problems such as an overbite, underbite, or crossbite
- Ensure that there is an appropriate number of the teeth (if there are missing or extra)
There may be some soreness once you begin your orthodontic treatment, but the discomfort should disappear within 3 to 5 days. If the pain persists any longer, please schedule an appointment to have Dr. Herman to have your teeth checked out.
